Long sleepless night
Din really sleep last night. We had a power blackout for the entire night. Must be due to mum using the hot shower cos she has turned on only little water from the tap and as a result, the water-heater got overheated and led to short circuit. As usual, dad climbed up to the power switchboard but something was wrong. One of the switches refuse to go up. After several tries, dad gave up. And that's when I truly feel the importance of power to us and the kind of living with no electricity. Soon, i was begging my dad to let us put up at his office, but it was already late night and dad's waking up early to prepare for NDP event.

No air con and no fan plus we live on the sixth floor and practically all the directions are cordoned off by the surrounding flats so the air didn't circulate. Damn stifling despite all windows were opened! I hate sweating especially on my clean bedsheet. And the just-permed hair left a lingering chemical smell on my pillow. Yuck! I couldn't get to sleep and finally got up to get a paper fan to fan myself throughout the night. Miracously, when i opened my eyes, it's dawn already but still hot.

Finally get my ass off the bed at 10am. Pester my mum to fiddle with the switchboard to get the power back. So my cute mum flipped up and down the rows of switches and unexpectantly, the lights all come up. Mum (housewife) definitely is smarter than dad who majored in engineering in his days. Loves mum truly. Well I don't have to endure the heat again while sleeping tonight.

BTW Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Saw UB just now at Toa Payoh Central. He has grown more handsome without the spec. Hmm...it have been like 4 years since we last met at the release of O'Level Result. There was supposed to be a gathering last saturday but I could not turn up cos of work commitment. I badly missed some of the gals from my sec school class.

While I and MY were chilling ourselves out at Crepes@Bugis yesterday, I was wondering why I did not meet anyone that I know or have seen in school before on the street for the entire vacation? It's unlike the previous times where i would come upon someone I'm familiar with, countless time. I pointed this out to my buddy when we moved on the foodcourt for some desserts. Well, MY thought that it's better in this way. Hmm, maybe my mind is tired of being in holiday mode for too long and in need of some serious workout so it's looking forward to school reopening which is this Monday. Or is it because there is someOne that i've been dying to see after this 3 months? Anyway, it doesn't matter. So after the words were spoken, the next minute, someone whom i seen before in school materalised in front of me. Gee...i don't know what to say about this and such incident doesn't happen once.

Delivered durians to my 3rd aunt's house last night on my mum's command. One of the first things she said was I have grown FATTER and face's rounder. Arghhh....That's what she say everytime she saw me. So i have been getting fatter and fatter each year. Sad...That reminds me that i have not been exercising for almost a week plus I'm been eating durians like a daily must-have staple food.

Made a pair of plastic glasses just now. Brown tinted with brown frame. My eye degree has increased 25 for each eye. Guess that because i spent too much time infront of pc. Gota cut short! I thought the cost would be over 200$ but it's cheaper than i've expected though i still foot the bill of 200$ for my pair as well as my mum's one. Heart bleeds. I think i have used up all the money that i earned from my vacation job.

We're not yet done with the durians. Now going back for more! Poor daddy who has to endure (and alone)3 hours of show put up by CHS at Esplanade just because his son is performing Erhu tonight.

It's durain feast for me on Monday hot afternoon. Mum and I chose to pig ourselves out at Bugis Street. We started off from our house under the blaring sun but when we reached the place, the weather had turned cloudy, making it possible for us to feast under the sky. I must say the durians there are fantastic.

My mum is a durian expert and therefore when come to selecting durians, she definitely puts it under her charge. The seller couldn't standing seeing my mum rammaging the goods and nagged that all the durians there are of superb qualities and need no "inspection". True enough, the texture was orangy creamy-liked with wrinkled surface. So sweet. 4 for $10. Quite reasonably cheap. But we bought 2 instead cos there were just 2 of us, only to realise later we wanna have more. Durian tops the list of my favourite fruits and so does my whole family. We bought another 4 on the way back home. Yummy!
