Saw Ivan at Arts canteen on Tue…I seem to meet him wherever I go (on TV, hougang, Nus)…Cola says he kinda good-looking – proves my taste not bad. Has promised to point him out to MY.

Suppose to be my final assessment. Rather nervous because I have not been practicing for almost a month. Don’t even remember the exact procedure of starting off. Poor memory indeed. Engine stall several times inside the circuit but none on road, strange… Yeah really very thrill to go on road…I never expect this…Finally get to drive at 70km/h with 4th gear but the instructor remind me of road limit. It’s not that I like high speed…I didn’t realise that until I look at the meter. Maybe my guy friend is right by calling me Ms Road Hazard. At least not Ms Kayu…Gear shifting on public road is what I learm:

1. On public road, I can still get penalty point for any violation of traffic rule even though I’m provisional driver. Just follow what instructor order and not to go against him. (Tend to hold steering wheel too tight…he can’t even fight me for it)

2. Gear 1: 10km/h Gear 2: 20km/h Gear 3: 30km/h Gear 4: 40km/h

Remember when the speed and engine is stable and smooth then change to the appropriate gear.

3. When approaching traffic junction…always slow down and change gear appropriate…. when reaching the stop line and the traffic light is still green, make a dash. When stopping, you can stop at gear 3.

4. When making left turn, slow down and change gear. Often there is pedestrian crossing and filter lane. Look out for oncoming car and u-turning car before making move out onto the lane. Never go out of your lane.

Anyway the instructor says my performance is satisfactory. (Shrug!)
