Been up early for logo opening at Ang Mo Kio Hospital. BTW, happy racial harmony day. Have a fanciful eye feast on the costumes wore by the staffs. My eyes nearly popped out when i saw someone who look older and uglier, (yah i'm that frank and serve me some humbleness please) than my mum, wore a kebaya of a see-through-to-the-black-bra. Absolutely a distaste to the costume culture of the perankan ethnic.

The only time that i participated in this occasion is like 5 years back when i was still in sec 4. Why is it the only time? Cos, i borrowed a black malay costume(oop i forgot the proper name! It's those long sleeves and long shirts down to the knee with long pants) from one of my classmates and wore it at school. Hot and stifling but not the real reason! Rather, my mum prohibit me from wearing any ethics costumes anymore. Her complaint: Too heavy and delicate to wash. Yah, the clothes were huge and our clothes are washed twice, manually - speciality of my mum and automatically by a forever choking washing machine - overworked from dawn to midnight.

I helped my mum once (don't be shocked that it's only once cos by now you should guess that i'm one of those qian jin xiao jie) and the amount of energy used is unbelievable. Soak those heavy weight clothes in the water and pull up, soak in and pull up high. Repeat that for 5 times and for the rest of the clothing. No wonder my mum complained about the malay costume - Heavy duty. A pretty good exercise i must say, cos my mum dun have high chlorestral (oop wrong spelling) even without any health diet.

My fav costume of all ethnic groups would be qi pao. I'm refering to those body hugging ones with high slit! Only those with very nice figure (with no bulging tummy) could carry it off. It is donned by the waitresses @ Mandarin hotel if i do remember correctly. Really sleek and sexy. But before i could fit in one, god knows how much workout i have do and how much good food i have to forsake.

PS: Ladies, if you wanna get rid of your flabby arms, you either:
1) offer to help your mum to wash the clothes; or
2) buy a medium size pumper and pump up 10 balloon using this. Alternate your both hands with the pumps. You'll be surprise even after doing 3 balloons in a shot.
